Description: Our Client has a global presence in railway signaling and integrated transport systems for passenger traffic (railway/mass transit) and freight operations, a global provider of transport solutions across the rolling stock. Our project is a train information system that collects and processes information in real time to ensure safe and efficient railway operations. The project’s key objective is to reflect on the map the current position and status of the rolling stock using a geographic information system (GIS) like leafletjs or cesium.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.5+ years of professional experience in backend software development using Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.Proficiency in Spring Boot framework and building microservices-based architectures.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, preferably in an on-premises environment.Solid understanding of relational databases, with hands-on experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or similar database systems.Proficiency in building automation tools such as Gradle and Maven.Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with the ability to apply them effectively to solve complex problems.Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.Experience with version control systems like GitHub and continuous integration tools like Jenkins is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot framework, following best practices and design patterns.Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them on our on-premises Kubernetes cluster to ensure scalability, high availability, and efficient resource utilization.Collaborate with DevOps team to automate deployment pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring seamless integration of microservices into theKubernetes environment.Implement and optimize database interactions using MariaDB, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.Utilize build tools such as Gradle and Maven to automate build processes, manage dependencies, and streamline project builds.Demonstrate strong proficiency in algorithms and data structures to optimize application performance and scalability.Utilize Helm charts to configure and manage Kubernetes resources, implementing Helm-based deployment strategies for microservices applications.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.Maintain code repositories on GitHub, ensuring version control and collaboration among team members.Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
